How many people fit in the apartments?

Both apartments have 2 bedrooms and space for 4 people as standard. For families with more children we can accept up to 6 people with extra sleeping arrangements (cot, fold-out bed). Mention this at booking so we can prepare the right equipment.

Are the apartments equipped for children?

Yes. On request we provide a cot, high chair, and child safety barriers for the balcony. Unlimited hot water for baby bottles, dishwasher for washing children's cutlery, and a washing machine for sandy beach clothes. Mention the age of your children at booking.

Can we bring our dog?

Unfortunately pets are not allowed in our apartments, because some guests have allergies. We understand this is a disappointment for some families and can refer you to specialised landlords on the Belgian coast who do accept pets.

Safe beaches for children

The beaches of Ostend are wide, the sand is fine, and the water stays shallow over tens of metres. During high season (July-August) there are rescue services on multiple beach posts. The beach is cleaned every morning and is smoke-free in family zones. For the smallest there are beach cabins to rent, and the Zeedijk is fully car-free so children can walk or cycle safely.

Plopsaland and other day trips

Plopsaland in De Panne is 30 minutes drive from Ostend. It is the largest theme park in Belgium, focused on children aged 3 to 12, with characters like Maya the Bee, K3 and Wickie. A day at Plopsaland costs around 45 euros per person. Other kid-friendly trips: Sea Life Blankenberge (15 minutes by Kusttram), Bellewaerde park in Ypres (45 minutes drive), the Westhoek dunes for walks.
